Tobacco Warehouse to Flea Market

Cooks Flea Market began in Cooks Tobacco Warehouse in 1982. The flea market took place in the tobacco off-season usually October - July.  Then the flea market vendors would move out and the tobacco auction would move in.

In 1990 a “Members Warehouse” building became available, very near the original Cooks building. That became Cooks Plaza Flea Market. In 2001, the markets were combined. By this time, tobacco auctions had become a relic of the past.
